In March 2024, I planned and took a 3-night, 4-day trip to Tongyeong, Geoje, and Busan as part of the South Korea Theme Travel Top 10: Southern Sentimental Journey.
In Tongyeong, I visited Dongpirang Mural Village, the Luge, and Dalae Park, enjoying the beautiful scenery and having a wonderful time. I also visited some Chungmu Kimbap and honey bread shops in Tongyeong Central Market.
Especially, I got a discount on the Tongyeong Luge by making a reservation in advance, and the sunset at Dalae Park was so beautiful, it was a memory I will never forget.
Korea's Theme Travel Top 10's Regional Mission Tour!!
I had a great opportunity to embark on the #SouthernSentimentalJourney 😍
The mission of this mission tour is to fill in the blanks of [ ] sentiment [ ] journey to plan your own travel course, and if selected, to travel on the planned course.
And I
planned a journey of youthful sentiments, where worries become pure,
and was selected as a travel participant!!
Out of the 4 regions (Geoje, Busan, Tongyeong, Namhae), the trip I planned
was a 3-night 4-day course to Geoje, Busan, and Tongyeong.
I created happy memories from February 6th to 9th.
I'm going to write down the moments of that trip.
DAY 1
[Subtitle: Tongyeong, where youthful worries turn pure, delicious, and amazing]
Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal - Jungang Market - Dongpirang Abalone Village - Dongpirang Mural Village - Tongyeong Luge - Dalae Park - Tongyeong Honey Bread - Tongyeong Chungmu Gimbap
A picture taken while moving on the bus right after arriving in Tongyeong.
We decided to head straight to Dongpirang.
It's located between Jungang Market and Dongpirang Mural Village,
so we checked out the market and then moved to the mural village.
The buildings huddled together were so pretty.
The colors were vibrant, and it was a great place to take pictures!
However, the alleyways were narrow, making it difficult to take many pictures. (Lots of people)
Even the manhole covers on the ground
were decorated with fried eggs... so cute ><
It looks a bit lonely, but it's kind of an Instagrammable shot...
It was an atmospheric space.
Then, we moved on to the Luge!!
I booked it in advance with my friend through Yanolja,
and got a photo + 4-ride package for around 20,000 won!!!
(I recommend booking in advance rather than buying on-site)
We thoroughly checked our temperatures and applied hand sanitizer,
and enjoyed the Luge to our heart's content.
(4 rides are plenty)
One thing to keep in mind is that the Luge's last operating time is 5 PM,
so it's best to go early and check the hours!!!
I'll use this as a substitute for a Luge photo.
They give you a high-quality photo with a paper frame~
It was a truly happy memory.
I hadn't bought a photo like this since I was a kid at an amusement park,
but luckily, I got a package deal and added another happy memory.
Next, we visited #DalaePark.
The weather was perfect, and it was so beautiful that I wished I could capture it all with my eyes.
The sunset was like a painting.
And we ate Chungmu Gimbap and Tongyeong traditional honey bread!
We went to the places known for having the best of each in Tongyeong.
I was very satisfied~!!
Especially the honey bread, it was the last one when we went there,
so it's a popular place, I recommend visiting it once.
