Day 2 of our trip started in Geoje with엽떡 (yeopteok, a spicy rice cake dish) and grocery shopping at E-Mart, followed by a relaxing stay at a pension overlooking Mongdol Beach, complete with a delicious grilled pork belly party.
On Day 3, we visited Geoje's Wind's Hill and Sinseondae, before enjoying a luxurious staycation at a hotel in Busan's Gwangalli Beach.
On Day 4, we wrapped up our trip with some delicious shellfish barbecue in Haeundae, enjoying a memorable 3-night, 4-day journey with a friend, filled with beautiful scenery, great food, and comfortable accommodations in Geoje and Busan.
DAY 2
[Subtitle: A Day of Healing at a Pension with Social Distancing, Where Youthful Worries Become Pure]
Goheyeon Bus Terminal - Geoje Yeoppeoktteokbokki - E-mart - Greend C Pension - Mongdol Beach
My taste buds haven't changed since high school, it's unbelievable.
I mean... can't I just eat Yeoppeoktteokbokki in Seoul?
I plan to try Yeoppeoktteokbokki from all regions^^
We ordered a 2-person portion of Yeoppeoktteokbokki and didn't leave a single bite...
The Goheyeon branch was clean and the food was delicious.
My rating?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars.
And though I didn't capture it in a photo, we went straight to E-mart to do some grocery shopping.
Because tonight's the night for a meat feast!
There were many places I wanted to visit in Geoje Island,
but first, we chose a pension with a direct view of Mongdol Beach,
and spent one day enjoying a staycation (ㅋㅋㅋ) under the guise of social distancing.
But what am I supposed to do about this situation? 🤨
I seriously wanted to stay here a few more nights instead of going to Busan.
It was truly amazing, with a beautiful view, great friends, and...
As you'll see in the video, I was in a state of extreme excitement ㅠㅠ
We took tons of amazing photos for Instagram (ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ) and had a party with pork belly and shrimp!!
Tip: This pension provides basic cooking ingredients like herb salt, cooking oil, sugar, etc.
so you don't need to buy them.
Pork belly and ramen – it's a no-brainer, a perfect combination (말모말모).
And the stunning Mongdol Beach!
DAY 3
[Subtitle: Youthful Worries Fade Away at the Wind's Hill, Busan Accommodation]
Wind's Hill - Wind's Hill Hot Dog - Sinseondae - Busan - Gwangalli Accommodation
We took a taxi to Wind's Hill first thing in the morning!
As the name suggests, it was quite windy,
but even early in the morning, there were a lot of people.
I truly soaked up the sun here,
and it was so blissful to be able to take in the vast blue sea in a place with warm breezes.
It was pure happiness.
(There were some office workers who brought their laptops on a weekday ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
There are many benches with a fantastic view,
so people weren't just quickly glancing at the scenery.
Everyone seemed to be truly enjoying the view for a long time.
And when you go to Wind's Hill,
my friend from Tongyeong told me that Wind's Hot Dog is a must-try –
Apparently, the main Wind's Hot Dog store has moved and expanded,
so you can't get there unless you take a car... 흑...
So, as a compromise,
We went to Wind's Hill Hot Dog near Sinseondae and
had some hot dogs.
Whoa, what is this...?
To be able to see such a breathtaking view for free...
I've completely fallen in love with Geoje's charm.
@Busan Central Bay Hotel
While it wasn't an ocean view, but a city view,
the bed was incredibly comfortable,
and I've never seen a hotel room this spacious before ㅠㅠ
And that's how our 3rd day ended with a luxurious staycation just the two of us!!
DAY 4
[Subtitle: Youthful Worries Fade Away on the Last Day]
We couldn't leave Busan without trying some grilled shellfish,
so we powered through work until dinner time.
Before ending our trip, we headed to Haeundae to enjoy some grilled shellfish :)
Many of the highly-rated places were closed,
#Haeundae #Sumin's Place was our choice.
It had a really great pojangmacha (outdoor food stall) vibe.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The lady who worked there
was incredibly kind, grilling everything for us and explaining how to eat it,
and every table seemed to order ramen, so we did too.
After a massive food fest...
it was time to head to the airport ✈️
I mumbled to my friend that I didn't want to go home, holding her hand.
It was a short trip, but we got to see so many places.
